Hund sucht Herrchen im Einkaufszentrum

Berlin is known for its vibrant culture, rich history, and diverse attractions. However, on July 10th, something unique and heartwarming will take place at the Forum Steglitz – Dog Day. This event is dedicated to celebrating man’s best friend and finding loving homes for some furry companions in need.

Among the participants are Ludwig, a ten-year-old Poodle, Pascha, a four-year-old Caucasian Shepherd Dog, Torben, an Australian Shepherd, and Kamal, a Shepherd Dog mix. These are just a few of the 30 dogs who are all hoping to once again be someone’s loyal companion and find a forever home.

The initiative by the Berlin Animal Shelter is innovative – instead of potential adopters visiting the shelter, the dogs will be brought to them at the Forum Steglitz. This allows for a more personal interaction and gives both the dogs and humans a chance to get to know each other in a comfortable setting. The event will take place from 11 am to 5 pm, and the focus will be entirely on our canine friends.

Not all dogs from the shelter will be present at the Dog Day event. However, the shelter staff will bring photos and profiles of the dogs who are truly looking for adoption and are ready to adjust to a new environment. They will also be available for initial discussions and scheduling appointments for those interested in adopting.

The Forum Steglitz will host various activities and services related to dogs and pet ownership on the ground floor. From dog daycare facilities to pet food manufacturers and even a dog photographer, visitors will have access to a wealth of information on how to care for their furry companions and engage in fun activities together.

The presence of organizations like the Tiertafel Berlin, which supports pet owners who may struggle to afford pet food, adds a compassionate touch to the event. This support can prevent families from having to surrender their beloved pets due to financial difficulties. Additionally, visitors can explore options for biking with their dogs, including trying out cargo trailers for pets.

Peter Schönbrunn, the Center Manager of the Forum Steglitz, is a proud dog owner himself and is passionate about the Dog Day event. He understands the importance of dogs having a pack to belong to and is dedicated to finding new homes for these deserving animals. With around 300 dogs waiting for adoption at the Berlin Animal Shelter, every successful adoption is a significant step towards giving these animals a second chance at a happy life.

The Dog Day event at the Forum Steglitz is open to all participants free of charge. Dog owners, dog lovers, and anyone interested in adopting a furry friend are welcome to attend, with or without their own dogs. For more information, visit the Forum Steglitz website at https://forum-steglitz.de/.

In conclusion, the Dog Day event at the Forum Steglitz is a heartwarming opportunity to connect with dogs in need of loving homes and learn more about responsible pet ownership. It is a chance to make a difference in the lives of these animals and potentially find a new loyal companion. So mark your calendars for July 10th and join in the celebration of our four-legged friends at the Forum Steglitz in Berlin.
