Sleman City Hall (SCH) is hosting a special event at the end of this month that will delight animal lovers and visitors alike. The „Animal Kingdom #2“ event will take place from today, Friday, until Sunday (26-28/3).

The event will be held in five areas of the mall, namely Atrium Rama, Atrium Shinta, Garden on the 1st floor, Beauty Hall on the 1st floor, and Minihall on the 2nd floor.

Various activities will be featured at the event, including hamster competitions such as hamster marathon, speed eating, maze hamster labyrinth, and hamster shows. There will also be an eco rabbit show and competition, mini iguana contest, sugar glider contest, betta fish competition, and chicken and pigeon contests.

Dog lovers can visit on Sunday (28/3) for a dog gathering in the Garden on the 1st floor. There will also be a dog run. In addition to the competitions, the event will also include talks on various animals from different communities, such as talks on fish, chickens, pigeons, and exotic birds.

Uray Dewi, from the Public Relations department of SCH, stated that the mall has ensured the health and cleanliness of the animals. „Visitors who want to participate in the dog gathering and bring their pets, SCH has provided a special lift for the animals, so visitors can feel safer and more comfortable,“ Dewi said in a statement on Friday (26/3).

She added that the mall encourages visitors, organizers, and participants to adhere to health protocols as recommended by the government. SCH has provided handwashing stations at the entrance to the mall, temperature checks, and hand sanitizer.

Entrance and exit areas are separated to avoid direct physical contact. „All organizers, participants, and visitors are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing,“ Dewi said.
