Bontang Memenuhi Kriteria dan Dinyatakan Layak Menjadi Tuan Rumah Tilok Mandiri CAT Seleksi CASN 2024

The selection process for Civil Servant Candidates (CASN) in 2024 has officially begun, with the Bontang City Government deemed eligible to once again conduct the Independent CAT SSCASN Selection in Bontang for the fiscal year 2024.

According to a report by Kaltim.akurasi.id, the announcement of the Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) selection was made on Monday, August 19, 2024. The Bontang City Government is actively preparing by completing the necessary infrastructure and preparing the Human Resources of the regional selection committee (Panselda) who will collaborate with the National Selection Committee (Panselnas) of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN).

To ensure the readiness of the Bontang City Government in conducting this competency selection using the Computer Assisted Test (CAT) method, the National Selection Committee (Panselnas) of BKN conducted a thorough inspection of all the equipment and facilities that will be used in the selection process on August 15, 2024.

Sudi Priyanto, the Head of the Bontang Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), mentioned that the presence of the BKN National Selection Committee in Bontang was on the assignment of the Head of the BKN Banjarmasin Regional Office. This was in accordance with the mandate of Regulation of the National Civil Service Agency of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2021 concerning the Procedures for Conducting Selections Using the CAT Method of BKN.

The three-member team from BKN, consisting of Computer Functional Officials, conducted a detailed checklist regarding the readiness and functionality of the selection infrastructure. This included the main equipment and other supporting equipment overall, such as the readiness of the rooms, tables and chairs, laptops or computers, main network testing and alternative networks. They also ensured connectivity with the BKN central server, security and sufficient electrical power, facial detection devices, and more.

Elfrida Siregar, the coordinator, stated that the BKN team would work diligently to check the readiness of all equipment. She also emphasized that the selection process, from preparation to implementation, must run smoothly, correctly, and in accordance with the merit system as the basis for conducting a selection that is fast, accurate, honest, fair, and transparent.

„Honesty for the participants is a must in the selection process. We will not compromise if we find violations that go against the rules and normative principles,“ she said.

Based on the inspection conducted, the Bontang City Government was declared eligible to once again conduct the Independent CAT SSCASN Location Point (Tilok) in Bontang for the fiscal year 2024.

Sudi Priyanto, the Head of BKPSDM Bontang, added that this was an important step. He hoped that the selection process would run smoothly, safely, and orderly to truly come to fruition.

„Alhamdulilah, the completeness of the CAT implementation in Bontang has been declared ready overall,“ he said to Akurasi.id on Tuesday, August 19, 2024.

Sudi mentioned that the equipment used for the selection process had been previously tested by the IT team from BKPSDM and the Information and Communication Office. During the trial, he said, there were no obstacles. Both in terms of quantity and quality, the specifications needed were all met.

Furthermore, the progress of readiness achieved was also thanks to the support of all the equipment. Out of the 110 PCs and laptops available, 100 would be used directly as the main units during CAT. The remaining 10 PCs would serve as backups and would only be used as replacements in case of any disruptions or damage to the main laptops.

The selection process in Bontang is planned to take place at a single location in the Auditorium of the Graha Taman Praja Building Block IV, 3rd Floor, Jalan Moh Roem, Bontang Lestari Village.

„The exact number is still awaiting the release from Panselnas, which we will publish in an official announcement. The schedule for the CAT implementation is estimated to take place between October or November 2024,“ he concluded. (adv/bkpsdmbontang/uci)
