Bupati Banyuwangi Menegaskan Pentingnya Seleksi CPNS Berbasis CAT, Tidak Ada Jalan Pintas

Banyuwangi, a regency located in East Java, Indonesia, is once again opening recruitment for Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) in 2024. The government of Banyuwangi has announced a total of 89 positions available, consisting of 36 healthcare professionals and 53 technical staff.

Bupati (Regent) of Banyuwangi, Ipuk Fiestiandani, has called upon the best and brightest individuals to participate in this selection process to contribute to the development of the beloved region. „We invite the outstanding youth of Banyuwangi to join us in building our beloved region together,“ said Ipuk on Monday, August 19, 2024.

Ipuk emphasized that the entire selection process will be conducted transparently and accountably. The testing will utilize the Computer Assisted Test (CAT) system organized by the National Civil Service Agency (BKN).

In this CPNS recruitment, there is a minimum requirement for the cumulative grade point average (GPA). This year, the minimum GPA is set at 3.25 with a Program of Study accredited by the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) or the Center for Health Manpower Education (Pusdiknakes), or the Independent Accreditation Agency for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes).

For Banyuwangi, this minimum GPA standard is not new. Since 2014, Banyuwangi has implemented a minimum GPA standard for CPNS recruitment. „Although GPA is not the main indicator of human resource quality, it is at least an initial indicator. But I believe many children of Banyuwangi can meet this requirement because data from previous years have shown that,“ Ipuk stated.

Based on data from the Civil Service, Education, and Training Agency (BKPP), out of a total of 935 candidates who passed the CPNS selection in the last two years, for the 2019 and 2021 positions, 684 individuals or 73 percent were local residents of Banyuwangi.

„This data shows that the majority of applicants and accepted civil servants are still local residents of Banyuwangi. This indicates that many children of Banyuwangi have GPAs above average,“ she added.

Ipuk further mentioned that Banyuwangi aims to have high-performing civil servants. „In addition to recruiting civil servants with high intellectual abilities, we also need good work ethics to improve public services in Banyuwangi continuously,“ she said.

The Head of the Civil Service, Education, and Training Agency (BKPP), Ilzam Nuzuli, added that the CPNS registration selection process will be open from August 20 to September 6, 2024.

For more detailed information, applicants can visit the National Civil Service Agency website at https://sscasn.bkn.go.id.

The Basic Competency Selection (SKD) will take place from October 16 to November 14, 2024. Meanwhile, the Field Competency Selection (SKB) will be held from December 9 to December 20, 2024.

The age limit for CPNS applicants is set at a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 35 years at the time of application. „Excluded are applicants for doctor and dentist positions with specialist education, who can apply up to a maximum age of 40 years,“ explained Ilzam.

In conclusion, the CPNS recruitment in Banyuwangi presents an opportunity for talented individuals to contribute to the development of the region. With a transparent and accountable selection process, the government aims to recruit high-performing civil servants who will enhance public service delivery in Banyuwangi.
