Banyuwangi, a regency in East Java, Indonesia, is once again opening recruitment for Civil Servants (CPNS) with a total of 89 positions available. These positions consist of 36 healthcare workers (nakes) and 53 technical staff. Banyuwangi’s Regent, Ipuk Fiestiandani, is calling upon the local youth to participate in the development of Banyuwangi through this recruitment drive. „We invite the best talents from Banyuwangi to join us in advancing our beloved region,“ stated Ipuk.
Emphasizing the transparency and accountability of the selection process, Ipuk mentioned that Computer Assisted Test (CAT) will be utilized by the National Civil Service Agency (BKN). „There is no room for any form of manipulation to ensure a participant’s success. Everything will be transparent and CAT-based, without any intervention from any party,“ she affirmed.
Furthermore, the Regent cautioned potential candidates not to fall prey to individuals claiming to guarantee their success in the selection process. „The key to success lies in thorough preparation. If anyone claims to secure your passage and asks for compensation, report them immediately to the authorities as it is undoubtedly a scam,“ Ipuk added.
For this recruitment, a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.25 from an accredited program by the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT), Health Education Center (Pusdiknakes), or Independent Accreditation Agency for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes) is required. This GPA standard is not new to Banyuwangi, as it has been implemented since 2014. Despite GPA not being the sole indicator of human resource quality, Ipuk is confident that many local talents from Banyuwangi can meet this criterion.
Data from the Civil Service, Education, and Training Agency (BKPP) revealed that out of 935 participants who passed the CPNS selection in the past two years (2019 and 2021), 73% or 684 individuals were local residents of Banyuwangi. „This data proves that the majority of applicants and accepted PNS are still from Banyuwangi. It demonstrates the abundance of local talents with above-average GPAs,“ Ipuk explained.
Banyuwangi aims to have high-performing civil servants. Apart from intellectual capabilities, a strong work ethic is also a priority to enhance the quality of public service in the region.
Head of BKPP, Ilzam Nuzuli, outlined the CPNS selection process. Registration is open from August 20 to September 6, 2024. Further information can be accessed through the website https://sscasn.bkn.go.id. Basic Competency Selection (SKD) will be conducted from October 16 to November 14, 2024, while Field Competency Selection (SKB) is scheduled for December 9-20, 2024.
„The age limit for CPNS participants is 18-35 years at the time of application, with exceptions for specialist doctors and dentists who can apply up to the age of 40,“ he clarified.
With a total of 75 reads, the recruitment drive in Banyuwangi is attracting significant attention, showcasing the enthusiasm and interest of the local community in contributing to the development and progress of their region.
