Dolce & Gabbana Introduces $108 Fragrance for Dogs Featuring ‚Woody Creamy‘ Notes

Dolce & Gabbana, a renowned fashion house, recently made headlines with the launch of Fefé, an alcohol-free fragrance mist designed specifically for dogs. Inspired by billionaire fashion designer Domenico Dolce’s own dog, Fefé promises to provide a luxurious and pampering experience for your furry companion. The perfume is described as a tender and embracing fragrance crafted for a playful beauty routine, showcasing the brand’s commitment to high-quality and innovative products.

The promotional video for Fefé features a parade of pampered pooches, with the fashion house emphasizing that no animals were mistreated during the making of the campaign. The primary scents of ylang-ylang, musk, and sandalwood create a sophisticated and alluring aroma, while the perfume comes packaged with a Dolce & Gabbana dog collar and tag, adding a touch of luxury to your pet’s grooming routine.

While the concept of scents for dogs is not new, Dolce & Gabbana’s entry into the field brings a high-fashion perspective to the idea. With a price tag of €99 ($108) for a small green glass bottle adorned with a red cap and a 24kt-gold-plated paw symbol, Fefé exudes exclusivity and elegance. The perfume is alcohol-free, with water as its first ingredient, and contains a blend of fragrance and oils, including citrus peel oil and cedar oil.

Dolce & Gabbana instructs pet owners to spray Fefé on their hands or a brush before gently rubbing or brushing their dog’s fur from the middle of the body towards the tail. The perfume can also be applied directly to the dog’s body, avoiding the nose area, for a moment of scented pampering. The product is certified by Safe Pet Cosmetics, an Italian program that ensures products are safe for animals, and is approved by veterinarians, although specific details on this approval are not provided.

In terms of safety, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) notes that perfumes for humans, primarily composed of essential oils and alcohols, are generally safe for pets in small amounts. While ASPCA does not specifically address dog perfumes like Fefé, it offers general grooming tips for keeping pets clean and fresh, such as bathing regularly and using pet-formulated shampoos. Dolce & Gabbana’s description of Fefé highlights the warm, clean, and woody notes of the fragrance, designed to appeal to human sensibilities.

Overall, Dolce & Gabbana’s Fefé perfume for dogs represents a unique and luxurious addition to the world of pet grooming products. With its high-quality ingredients, elegant packaging, and exclusive branding, Fefé offers pet owners the opportunity to indulge their furry friends in a scented pampering experience like no other.
