Dorong Nataru, White Horse (WEHA) Optimis Raih Pendapatan Rp260 Miliar

WEHA Transportasi Indonesia, also known as White Horse Group, is currently strategizing to maximize the holiday season of Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2023/2024. The company aims to achieve a revenue of Rp260 billion by the end of the year. Edgar Surjadi, the Director of Finance & Accounting at WEHA, expressed optimism about the increasing mobility trends during the Nataru period compared to 2022.

With the anticipation of higher demand during the holiday season, WEHA is preparing 300 units of buses for rental services, including large buses, medium buses, minivans, and luxury buses. Additionally, the company’s DayTrans business line is ready with 160 minivans, with the possibility of adding more units with the assistance of White Horse if demand is high.

Edgar mentioned that there is a projected 5% increase in bus rentals for tourism and a 20% increase in passengers for DayTrans during the Nataru period. The company expects a revenue increase of 10-15% compared to 2022. High-demand routes include Jakarta-Jogja, Jakarta-Semarang, Jakarta-Bandung, Jakarta-Solo, and Semarang-Jogja.

For tourist bus rentals, popular routes during the Nataru period are Bali, Semarang, Bromo Malang, and Bandung. To attract more customers, WEHA is offering special promotions and discounted prices for the holiday season across its various business lines, including bus rentals, intercity shuttles, and open trip tourism services through Explorer.ID.

In terms of financial performance, WEHA reported a net profit attributable to the parent entity of Rp22.36 billion as of September 30, 2023, marking an 86.37% increase year-on-year compared to the same period in 2022. This growth in net profit was driven by a 54.69% increase in revenue to Rp190.68 billion, up from Rp123.26 billion in the previous year.

Breaking down the revenue by segment, WEHA generated Rp104.38 billion from intercity transportation services, Rp94.38 billion from passenger transportation services, and Rp7.62 billion from other sources. These revenues were offset by elimination costs amounting to Rp15.71 billion.

Overall, WEHA Transportasi Indonesia is strategically positioned to capitalize on the holiday season and is poised to achieve its revenue targets for 2023. With a strong financial performance and a focus on meeting customer demand, the company is set to make a significant impact in the transportation industry during the Nataru period.
