Polda Papua Conducts Psychological Tests for IPDN Candidates in 2024
In a bid to select the best candidates for the Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri (IPDN) in the province of Papua, the Papua Regional Police (Polda Papua) recently organized psychological tests for aspiring students. The event took place in five different locations across Papua, including Papua Selatan, Papua Pegunungan, Papua Tengah, and Papua Province on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
The entire process was closely monitored by the Chief of Human Resources of Polda Papua, Kombes Pol Sugandi S.I.K., M.Hum, along with the IPDN supervisory team and members of the Provost of Polda Papua. A total of 239 candidates from these regions participated in the psychological selection process.
Kombes Pol Sugandi highlighted the significance of the psychological tests, stating that they are a crucial requirement in recruiting future IPDN students. The tests were conducted using the Computer Assisted Test (CAT) system in five different locations, namely SMK N 8 Jayapura, IPDN campus in Papua, Uningrat, SMP N 6 Jayapura, and Assesment.
„The purpose of these tests is to assess the seriousness and commitment of the participants in pursuing a career as an IPDN student. It also allows us to gauge their suitability for the program,“ said Kombes Pol Sugandi.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the CAT system used for the psychological tests is directly connected to the central database. This enables real-time scoring, allowing candidates to receive their results immediately after completing the tests.
The selection process for IPDN candidates is rigorous and comprehensive, aiming to identify individuals who possess the necessary skills, aptitude, and dedication to excel in the field of governance and public administration. By conducting psychological tests, Polda Papua ensures that only the most qualified candidates are admitted to the prestigious institution.
