President Jokowi Invites Grandchildren to Celebrate Eid Holiday by Showing Love for Animals

President Joko Widodo, known for his love for animals, recently enjoyed a wildlife tourism experience with his family during the Lebaran holiday at The Hill Hotel and Resort in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra province. The President’s daily life at the Bogor Presidential Palace is filled with the sounds of various animals, including Garut sheep, geese, and deer. This love for animals has been passed down to his grandchildren, who also accompanied him on this holiday trip.

During their visit, President Jokowi, accompanied by his wife Mrs. Iriana, daughter Kahiyang Ayu, son-in-law Bobby Nasution, and three grandchildren, Sedah Mirah Nasution, Panembahan Al Nahyan Nasution, and Panembahan Al Saud Nasution, engaged in various activities. From feeding crocodiles to interacting with birds and deer, the family enjoyed a day filled with animal encounters.

The President’s grandchildren, Sedah Mirah and Al Nahyan, were seen petting owls, parrots, and cockatoos with special gloves. They also fed the birds, showcasing their enthusiasm for wildlife. President Jokowi, like a doting grandfather, guided his grandchildren in feeding the deer with care and attention. The family also interacted with geese, ducks, and pelicans by the lake, adding to the joyous atmosphere of the day.

President Jokowi’s commitment to animal tourism is not new. In previous years, he has taken his family to Bali Safari and Marine Park in Gianyar Regency, Bali, and Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, during Eid holidays. These trips not only provide quality time for the family but also instill important values of environmental sustainability and fauna recognition to the younger generation.

The President’s love for animals and nature is evident in these holiday outings, where he not only enjoys the natural ambiance but also educates his family about the importance of wildlife conservation. Through these experiences, President Jokowi sets an example of responsible tourism and a deep connection with the natural world for future generations to follow.
