During the proceedings of the Dewan Kehormatan Penyelenggara Pemilu (DKPP) on July 3, 2024, it was revealed how CAT and Hasyim had met. It was mentioned that during a technical guidance session for PPLN in Bali on July 30, 2023, Hasyim had approached CAT. This initial interaction eventually led to Hasyim’s pursuit of a romantic relationship with CAT.

CAT admitted that Hasyim had persuaded her to engage in a physical relationship at the Van der Valk Hotel in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where Hasyim was staying on October 3, 2023. Hasyim even went as far as promising to marry CAT after their encounter.
