The Epic Battle Between a Tiny Horse and a Stuffed Dog: A Major Meltdown

Some animals really have it in for their stuffies. It’s all in good fun, but you never know which one they’ll decide to be their arch-nemesis until they’re ripping it apart. This is Theo, the mini horse’s daily battle with his stuffie, Big Dog. And though Theo thinks he’s being tough, the interaction is honestly the cutest thing we’ve ever seen.

The Instagram clip posted by Black Goat Farm Sanctuary (totes.the.goat) reveals Theo’s angst toward the stuffie and what he does about it.

„Little Theo is a month old,“ the caption begins. „His battle with the Big Dog stuffy started on his second day of life. We can only assume that Theo wants to be the only blond bombshell in the barn.“

The video opens with the mini horse kicking Big Dog at just two days old, then again at one week old, and again at one month old and they all have the same sentiment: Theo hates this stuffie and is determined to show it who’s in charge around here (hint: it’s Theo).

„At least once a day, every day of his life (minus his hospital days), Theo shows Big Dog who is boss,“ the caption continues. „He doesn’t fight any of the other stuffies.“

The mini horse, known as „such a little miracle boy“ and „the world’s spicy small stallion,“ has a lot to say in those kicks, and he’s not afraid to show it. Many of the rescue’s followers agreed—the Big Dog never stood a chance.

„The sassiness is strong with that little guy,“ one person wrote. „Poor Big Dog is so patient!“ another joked. „Theo is the stallion of the place and has to assert his dominance,“ another added.

We hear you, Theo. That’s your barn, and no stuffed dog is going to say otherwise!

Miniature Horses Are Full of Personality

Sure, mini horses are adorable to look at, but according to The American Miniature Horse Association, the breed standard says they’re also intelligent, curious, gentle, sensible, willing to cooperate, and easy to train.

These little cuties are social and full of personality. Look at Theo, who’s been uniquely himself since birth. Noted by other organizations as calm and docile, miniature horses are known to be good with children and really just a riot to watch.

Listen, Theo, we’re sorry you’re not happy with Big Dog, but we’re sure you’ll work out your differences one day!
