Young Boy Discovers Two Wild Babies Trapped in a Well While Running Through the Woods

A few months ago, a young boy in India made a startling discovery while exploring the woods near his home. As he wandered through the dense foliage, he came across a wide, deep well. Peering down into the darkness, he spotted two wild animals trapped at the bottom. Concerned for their well-being, the boy hurried to seek help from his grandfather.

Upon hearing of the trapped animals, rescuers from RESQ Charitable Trust swiftly arrived at the scene. The animals in distress were chousinghas, also known as four-horned antelopes. These small antelopes are native to Asia and are known for their agility and timid nature. Unfortunately, chousinghas are currently classified as „vulnerable“ on the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s list of threatened species, making their rescue all the more crucial.

Under the expert guidance of wildlife management director Tuhin Satarkar and RESQ Charitable Trust founder Neha Panchamiya, the rescue team, consisting of Sayli Pilane, Naresh Chandak, and Dr. Purva Nimkar, quickly devised a plan to free the trapped chousinghas. A team member descended into the well, carefully retrieved the animals, and brought them back to safety.

Once back on solid ground, the rescued chousinghas were examined by veterinarians for any injuries. Thankfully, the animals were deemed healthy and fit for release back into the wild. With a sense of gratitude, the chousinghas bounded back into the trees, free once again.

The successful rescue mission left the rescuers and onlookers in awe. A representative from RESQ Charitable Trust expressed their satisfaction with the swift and successful operation, highlighting the joy of witnessing the animals return to their natural habitat.

To support the ongoing efforts of organizations like RESQ Charitable Trust in rescuing and protecting vulnerable wildlife, consider making a donation to their cause. Your contribution can make a significant impact in ensuring the safety and well-being of animals in need.
